| I'm not quite for sure why I'm telling you, but I am. No one really reads this and I have not wanted to talk about anything, especially when everything I say gets misconstrued and is used against me. So, bye. | | |
| With this drought that our lovely city of Denton has been under for the last year, I figured that we would not be out of the burn ban by the end of the semester, much less in time for homecoming. But I was wrong and the burn ban was lifted yesterday and at 2pm we were informed that Talons will be building and burning a BONFIRE!!!!!!!!! I told my boss that I would be taking my vacation after all and she was not happy, but gave it to me anyway. So I will be working in over drive for the next week to get everything done for work and class so I won't be too far behind. I am so excited because despite the large amount of work and hassle this causes, it is really a lot of fun. We are running around like a bunch of chickens with our heads cut off at the moment to get everything ready. I can't wait for the 29th to get here! | | |
| So yeah, not been doing so well as of late and yesterday was a well needed break from life. I didn't want to get out of bed yesterday but I had an exam in ASL so I had to. After the exam I called in sick to work and went home to do nothing. Pretty much the only things I managed to accomplish was cleaning out the fish tank and running to the store. As I was finishing the fish tank Staci and Tess came over. They invited me to go help them with formal stuff and I was about to say no. I'm glad I decide to go with them though. Besideds getting a lot of stuff finished, we played football with the guys. It was so much fun and we spent a couple of hours just throwing the ball around. I needed to be in the fresh air and have some fun. I have laughed more in the last 3 days than I have in the last month. I have the best friends in the world because they put up with my shit and I just wanted to say thanks. Well, I have yet another exam so time to go. Bye! | | |

Oh joy, I got higher on the SATs than Howard Stern. I would like to state that I am not an idiot, I just don't test well. And on a side not, I would NEVER go to any of these colleges. Maine is the only one I would even consider but it's too damned cold. My final research paper for Senior English was on how the SATs are not a reliable source for measuring a persons intelligence. It has been proven that asian women do the best on the test with white males following shortly after. It's bias against women and african americans. It has also been shown that Dyslexics tend to be better at taking the SAT as opposed to the ACT and ADDs are the opposite. | | |
| Most people don't seem to know this, but most of the American Founding Fathers believed in Deism, or the absent land-lord theory. Here is Wikipedia's expanation of Deism and it's beliefes. I don't think any of you give a damn about this and I figure most of you are going to pass over this post. I just felt like looking it up and thought it was interesting. I'm a nerd, I know. "Deism is a religious philosophy and methodology that asserts the existence of one God or supreme being. It holds that the proper source of religion comes from the exercise of human reason, the observation of the natural world (existence) and the utilization of personal experience with emphasis on individual freedom of thought." "Classical Deism held that a human's relationship with God was impersonal: God created the world by setting it into motion, but does not actively intervene in it by creating miracles, governing instead through Divine Providence. Modern Deism has expanded this classical view to state that humanity's relationship with God is transpersonal, and that any actions he might take to intervene are subtle and beyond human understanding." | | |
